When you’re finished editing a Photoshop document, you need to save it. In Photoshop CS5, your default save option is to save it to a folder on your computer, as shown in Figure 9-3.
**Figure 9-3:** Click the Save icon at the top of the window to save your image.
If you have the Freehand or Freeform tools active, then you can save your file directly to your computer.
After you save your file, you can apply a number of options and settings to optimize the file and make it ready for printing.
After you’ve saved the file, you can re-open the file, as shown in Figure 9-4, at any time by clicking the Open button. This button is grayed out when you close a document, but it is still there for quick access.
**Figure 9-4:** Re-open your file at any time by clicking the Open button.
Printing a file
If you’re creating an image for printing, the first thing to do is to print it out so you know that you’re getting what you want. If you don’t want to print it, you don’t have to.
To print an image from Photoshop, follow these steps:
Click the File tab at the top of your window, and then click the Print button.
In the Print dialog box that appears, under the Print Options heading, click the Print Setup button, as shown in Figure 9-5.
**Figure 9-5:** Set the number of copies to the number of pages you want to print.
In the Print Setup dialog box that appears (shown in Figure 9-6), adjust the Resolution and other settings for printing. The Resolution setting, when you print, tells your printer the size of your print image as dots per inch (DPI). The higher the DPI setting, the more detail you see on your printer output, but your print will be bigger. The Print Quality setting tells Photoshop how to create the image for printing. (You don’t need to use the Print Quality setting when you’re printing for an e-mail or Web site

Graeme Swann has re-joined Somerset in time to take part in the World Cup
Somerset’s new signing Graeme Swann is a surprise new addition to England’s World Cup squad.
All-rounder Sam Billings was also included in the 23-man party announced on Wednesday.
The trio come into the squad as swing bowler Stuart Broad is unavailable because of injury.
Somerset signed Swann earlier this week, with the 33-year-old coming in to replace Liam Plunkett, who is still awaiting the birth of his first child.
Plunkett is also expected to miss the tournament with the birth of his daughter in April.

How to say I want to start helping but I’m only good at fixing small problems?
I’m a 27 y/o woman and I really want to start working towards becoming a mentor to kids in a development program, but unfortunately, I have a lot of trouble fixing small problems.
Basically, I am not really a computer person, at all, and I don’t have a lot of interest in computers or technology in general.
I’m not saying I don’t want to help children, I do. I’m just saying that when I do try to help them, I can only help them fix a small problem in their computer, like their browser or something, and I don’t know how to fix bigger problems.
I would love to help kids learn to code, but I don’t even know how to use Google Code, my favorite programming software.
How should I word this in a resume?
It seems that you’re saying something like:
I would love to help kids learn to code, but I don’t know how to use
Google Code, my favorite programming software.
Basically, people will read that and think that you don’t know how to use a powerful tool.
There are a lot of kids in need of help. You don’t know a lot about
software, but the kids you do know about are good at finding solutions
on their own.
It is time to learn about programming, and about software.
It’s okay to be able to fix one small problem, but not okay to not be
able to fix more complicated problems.
“Not being able to fix more complicated problems” is an excuse. If you say that you’re not as good with computers or technology in general, which I don’t think you’re doing, it’s not really an excuse. Let’s say you work at a computer repair shop and you fix computers for a living. You wouldn’t get a job there if you said “I work at a computer repair shop but I don’t know how to fix the hard drives or the hard drives don’t work anymore.” There’s nothing you can do to fix the hard drives, because you can’t fix them.
So, based on what I said, I’d suggest you saying something like:
I am interested in learning how to help kids learn programming. I
don’t know very much about computers, but I
